Current Job/ Title: Public Relations Consultant

1) What has inspired you to get into public relations?

I’ve always been fascinated by the power of storytelling and how it shapes the way people connect with brands, organisations, and each other. Public relations allows me to bring those stories to life in ways that inform, inspire, and build trust. I love the fast pace, the creativity, and the chance to be at the heart of conversations that matter. I was drawn to public relations because of my love for connecting people through stories.

(2) How do you achieve a sense of belonging within the PR profession?

For me, belonging comes from community. I find it by collaborating with colleagues, sharing knowledge, and learning from others in the profession. Staying engaged with industry networks, celebrating our wins, and supporting each other through challenges helps me feel part of something bigger. It’s about knowing you’re adding value while also learning and growing with others who share your passion for communication. Being a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) has also deepened that passion, giving me a sense of belonging to a global community and keeping me aligned with the highest professional standards. It’s a profession that keeps me learning, adapting, and pushing myself to think differently.

(3) Who has been the biggest support in your professional journey?

My biggest support has been a mix of mentors and colleagues who have believed in me and encouraged me to stretch beyond my comfort zone. Their guidance, honest feedback, and constant cheerleading have been invaluable. I’d also add my family and friends, who keep me grounded and remind me of the bigger picture when the work gets intense. They are my anchor and my biggest "cheer squad".
