Dear colleagues,

As we enter 2026, CIPR International does so with confidence, continuity and clear purpose.

This year is about deepening engagement and activating co-creation. It is about strengthening how we work together as a committee, expanding ideation, and creating meaningful pathways for youth and mentorship across our international community.

We begin the year with an experienced and committed committee, alive to the lessons (both good and challenging) from years prior. While we thank those members who concluded their service in 2025, there are no new co-opted committee members yet for 2026, allowing us to build momentum through continuity and focused delivery.

I am pleased to be supported by a strong leadership team: Nishika Bhajaj (Vice Chair), Gavrielle Kirk-Cohen (Secretary), Stuart Graham (Treasurer) and Anjali Patil (EDI Champion), alongside our valued special advisers Professor Anne Gregory, Eva Maclaine and Samantha Seewoosurrun.

Inclusion remains central to our work, and, in 2026, we will advance this with greater international sensitivity, recognising context, culture and lived experience across global practice. An member survey is also on the horizon, enabling us to listen more closely and ensure our priorities are shaped by how members want to be supported. This will be complemented by a keystone youth inclusion initiative that we hope to launch in the coming months.

Above all, this is a year of shared ownership. CIPR International is shaped not only by our committee, but by the voices, insight and participation of our members worldwide. We are excited to see these voices come together from as early as 27 January, with our first webinar of the year on communicating climate change.

I look forward to shaping 2026 together, with ambition, curiosity and a shared commitment to global practice that truly connects.

Taazima Kala FCIPR

Chair, CIPR International committee
