CIPR International is pleased to announce the election of its 2026 Committee following an Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on the 30th of October 2025. The new committee, comprising 26 leading practitioners, continues to reflect the Group’s global reach, diverse professional expertise, and commitment to advancing international standards in public relations.

I am pleased to share with you a report from my seat as Chair of this committee for the year. It has been a year of purposeful growth, collaboration, and visible progress across our global community. Working together, we have strengthened our reach, deepened engagement, and continued to advance international standards of professionalism in public relations.

This year our AGM on 30 October precedes a hugely important topic of misinformation and disinformation, which is currently challenging public relations people worldwide. We shall be presenting this in two parts. The first one, on 30 October, looks at the global and national public and IGO/NGO sectors. The second (on 6 November) will focus on the challenges facing the media, agency and private sectors.

Angola’s recent launch of a Health Communication Network provides an example of how communicators can come together to strengthen public health and offers lessons for practitioners worldwide.
