CIPR International Celebrates Eva Maclaine’s Honorary Fellowship
CIPR International is proud to celebrate Eva Maclaine, who has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship (Hon FCIPR), the highest honour bestowed by the Institute. Granted by the Board of Directors in recognition of outstanding services to the Institute and the development of the public relations profession, the honour recognises Eva’s sustained commitment to professional standards, ethical practice and the international PR community.

For CIPR International, this recognition is especially meaningful. As a past Chair, Eva has brought an international perspective to the Institute’s work and helped champion the value of a profession connected across countries, cultures and languages.
Eva’s contribution to the Institute extends across leadership, governance and professional practice. Alongside her service as Chair of CIPR International, she served as a CIPR Board Director for four years. In 2021, she was invited to join the Global Alliance’s European Regional Council, extending her contribution to international collaboration within the profession. Through her practice, volunteering and writing, she has helped strengthen understanding of public relations and the standards that underpin its credibility.
Reflecting on her Honorary Fellowship, Eva said:
“I am very thrilled to have been awarded an Honorary Fellowship. I have found volunteering for the Institute in so many different roles both extremely satisfying and professionally fulfilling. High professional and ethical standards in the public relations, which are championed by us, are essential to ensure the next generation of practitioners flourishes and is respected and valued amongst all organisations which we serve.”
Her words capture a principle central to CIPR International: that a strong global profession grows through shared knowledge, ethical leadership and a willingness to contribute to the development of others.
Eva has previously received the CIPR Sir Stephen Tallents Medal and the PRO PR Globe Award. Her Honorary Fellowship is a further recognition of a career distinguished by service to both the Institute and the wider profession.
Taazima Kala Chart.PR, FCIPR, Chair of CIPR International, said:
“Eva’s Honorary Fellowship is a richly deserved recognition of her outstanding service and enduring influence on our profession. Her wisdom, generosity and invaluable support have meant so much to CIPR International and to many of us as practitioners on an individual level. She has guided and inspired so many, and we are immensely proud to celebrate this honour with her.”
CIPR International warmly congratulates Eva on this exceptional recognition and thanks her for the expertise, commitment and generosity she continues to bring to the profession.
